Zakynthos– Cefalonia – Athens

Day 1- 4: Zakynthos

The Ionian Islands are splendid, cinematic paradise. The waters are bluest blue, the sands are achingly silky and smooth. Everything looks heavily Photoshopped. But that's just Mother Nature, in all her unspoiled glory. Start your dream vacation in Zakynthos with 3 nights at Zakantha Beach, the largest of the Ionian Islands, and it's as fruitful as it is beautiful, boasting a bounty of crops like olives and grapes. Music is a huge part of the local culture—you can catch a concert or festival almost any night of the week, and you'll be captivated by the sights and sounds of Zakynthos performers.  Take a tour to visit the picturesque  Navagio beach as it is the site of a famed 1980 shipwreck resting in a sandy cove framed by cliffs.

Day 4-7: Cefalonia

Arrive in Cefalonia from your fast ferry and spend 3 nights at the superb Mediterranee Beach Hotel.  The largest island of the Ionian Sea, Cefalonia is a very charming place. Although it has developed over the last years as a family destination, beach places in Cefalonia island never get crowded due to the large size of the island. Mostly famous for the exotic beaches, including Myrtos, Antisamos, Lourdas and Skala, the island was chosen for filming the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Apart from swimming, the island also has many places to see, from picturesque villages to Medieval castles and beautiful monasteries. Fiscardo is the most cosmopolitan place with a port that receives many yachts every summer. Other nice villages to visit during your Kefalonia holidays are Argostoli, Sami and Assos.

Day 7-10: Athens

Arrival in Athens for your final 3 nights and be transfer to the centrally located Hera Hotel. Included is a half city tour with Acropolis Museum that will provide a memorable ending to your trip.  Explore the city and visit the Flea Market, the fashionable shops at Kolonaki Square and the sidewalk cafes at Syntagma (Constitution)Square.  In the evening, your final night in Athens, take a stroll in the Plaka district. Have dinner at one of the many restaurants located just below the Acropolis.
